City Highlights & Activities

Hiking

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, only a few minutes from our venue. Encompassing about 197,000 acres, the area features a wide range of ecosystems, wildlife and multicolored views. The stunning landscape has served as the backdrop for dozens of films and your guide will share more insight into the park’s place in film history.

Numerous geological features abound, including the fossilized sand dunes of the brilliantly colored Calico Hills.

Bellagio - Water Fountains and Botanical Garden

WATER FOUNTAIN:
While you may think choreographed routines are limited to showgirls and stage performances, the Fountains of Bellagio gyrate just as fabulously as the rest of our top-notch performers. One of the most popular attractions in Vegas, and for good reason, the free shows are choreographed to more than 30 different songs you may not have on your iPod but you’ll probably want to download later. The dancing streams of water are illuminated from within and jut out sporadically to the pulse of whichever song is playing. They shimmy, twirl and spin - they also happen to be perfectly timed to a crescendo of oohs and ahhs from the surrounding crowd.

BOTANICAL GARDEN:
Each season, the enormously talented Horticulture and Engineering teams transform the 14,000-square-foot Botanical Gardens into a showcase of inspiring sights, sounds, scents and colors. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter are all featured—along with a special display for Lunar New Year. When the seasons change so do the displays. The talented Conservatory team changes out the design and also replants and repurposes as much of the living plant material as possible, further celebrating Mother Nature and our commitment to sustainability.

Venetian

Venetian

The Venetian Las Vegas is a popular hotel and casino that offers shops, shows, and additional attractions all set within architectural replicas of some of Venice's greatest monuments. The Gondola Ride at The Venetian is an iconic Vegas activity. There are two separate rides: an indoor ride and an outdoor ride. Both are amazing! Inside this complex, you'll find a massive convention center, a shopping area, a nightclub, and a casino.

Las Vegas Sign

Standing 25 feet (7.5 meters) tall, the sign is one of the most popular photo ops in town and is often included on both daytime and nighttime sightseeing tours. Constructed in 1959, the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign is an icon from the era of classic Vegas. Listed on the US National Register of Historic Places, the neon landmark welcomes visitors driving into the city from the south on Las Vegas Boulevard, aka the Strip.

Fremont Street: where Las Vegas all began

Fremont Street
Fremont Street
Fremont Street

Las Vegas originally began along Fremont Street, creating the heart of downtown—and today’s gleaming example of true Vintage Vegas. Here, you can find an impressive variety of local businesses and eateries, side-walk cafes, bars and cocktail lounges, restored retro neon, and tons of free public art.

Fremont Street became the first paved road in Las Vegas, and by 1911, was the epicenter of gambling, giant neon signs, and grand casino entrances. Stars like Frank Sinatra headlined famous casinos in Fremont Street, like the Four Queens and Golden Nugget
