Jathan Sánchez: Tango Dancer, Teacher & Cultural Ambassador
With 31 years of artistic experience and 17 years dedicated to teaching, Jathan Sánchez has established himself as an international figure in tango, inclusive pedagogy, and holistic well-being. Throughout his career, he has brought his art to stages and festivals across Mexico, Argentina, the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Major Career Highlights
Tango Ambassador: Member of the International Dance Council (CID UNESCO) and named Tango Ambassador by the Casa de Cultura Argentina and the Mexico City Dance Association.
Champion and Award-Winner: First National Tango de Salón Champion in Mexico (2006) and 3rd place winner in the Professional Tango de Pista category at the Las Vegas Tango Festival & Championship in 2023.
Pioneer in Inclusion: Co-founder of Queer Tango México, promoting role exchange and diversity at international festivals in Paris, Buenos Aires, and Germany.
Multidisciplinary Background: Professionally trained in Russian ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, and Afro-Cuban rhythms. He shares his global perspective fluently in Spanish, English, French, and Italian.
Holistic Well-Being: Founder of El Revire Tango Club and deeply committed to health through his private practice in healing therapies and massage.
